Finding A Tutor

My Role as a Tuition Coordinator 


The moment you need me to source a tutor for you, I will be searching through my comprehensive database on all registered tutors in Singapore and match to your requirement.
That includes NIE Trained teachers/Ex-teachers/Full time or Part time tutors/Graduates/Undergraduates.

All tutors are registered and their credentials fully screened. You may request for their credentials on the first lesson.




For me to do a good match, please provide me with the following:

• - No. of kids that need tuition
• - Education Level
• - No.Subjects Needed to be taught
• - Where you live/ location
• - How many hours per lesson/week (Norm: 1.5 Hrs/ 2 lessons per week)
• - Kid's available days and timing (A rough guide)
• - What type of tutor would you prefer? (E.g. Male/Female, Full Time Tutor/Undergrad/No pref)
• - Budget $ per hour/per month

TUTOR'S RATE

Depending on whether you prefer Undergrads, Graduates, Ex-teacher/Current teachers, NIE Trained- they have different rates for different levels and subjects.

The rate ranges from $15 - $40 an hour.

Rates are usually negotiable between the parent and tutor via the tuition coordinator.

HOW THE PAYMENT WORKS

For the above service, there would be NO EXTRA Fees/NO OTHER commission payable on your side.  


For the FIRST MONTH (Only) of tuition fees, 50% goes to me (tuition coordinator) and remaining 50% goes to the tutor.

Example:

For the FIRST MONTH:

Tuition Fees based on 1.5 Hrs/8 lessons per month:

$25/hr x 1.5 x 8 lessons = $300

Parent pays:

To the tuition coordinator: $150 (first 4 lessons for first month)

To the tutor: $150 (remaining 4 lessons for first month)

Total: $300 (8 lessons)

Basically, there is no extra charge/commission payable to me by the parent. 

PAYMENT MODE

I accept either electronic/internet bank transfer or cashier order mailed to my address.

 TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Once a tutor has been decided by the parent, and the tutor has started teaching for at least 4 lessons; the parent must not drop/or change their mind till at least 1 month is completed; to be mutually fair to both parent and tutor.
• If after one month and the parent is unsatisfied; they could still request for a new tutor from me after the first month payment is made. 
• 50% of the First month tuition fee must payable to me (tuition coordinator) once the tutor completes his/her fourth (4th) lesson of the first month.
• 50% of the First month tuition fee should be made payable to POSB Savings Account no. 207-541-346
